The Sorrowful Story of a Girl With Secrets
This was my promise to the world
A promise that I couldn’t keep
I knelt down on my knees
And I took some pills to help me sleep
I never thought I’d reach the end
Down the tunnel of death I go
Our fingers were once intertwined
Now I know that was all for show
Deadly battles fought for us
I’m left wounded and bleeding inside
You walked away without a scratch
I have my loneliness to hide
Lost and blinded by my tears
Broken promises along with the lies
Shattered with a flooded sleeve
Results of my echoing shrieks and cries

Just another something I wrote. I'd appreciate your feedback. Also, I'd like to talk to you about possibly giving me a letter of recommendation that I can send in to a publisher along with my first volume of poetry. Please contact me at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.
