Life As I Think It
As I stare out my window,
With nothing better to do.
I think of the raindrops,
and of the morning dew.
I think of how the children laugh and play.
Without a care in the world what people might say.
I think of how I wish to be like them,
I think of how the only thing I want is a true friend.
I think of all of the secrects that I've kept all bottled up inside me,
And how I know that one day, those secrects will be used against me.
I think of the robin that flys high in the sky.
I think of the worm it just caught,
The worm that died without so much as a cry.
I think of how life comes and goes.
How some people waste it,
How others live it, letting all of their thoughts and feelings show.
I think of how life is taken for granted,
I think of how others throw their lives away.
I think of how some people wonder,
If they are going to live to see the next bright, sunny day.
