Paints with Words
My paintbrush repressed
syllables hushed, no words needed
The wings of each stroke are strong
My spirit flies free
I imagine
the cooing of a collared dove in the linden tree...
offering peace
As if nothing happened
The vibrant colors vibrate with the excitement of possibilities
Painting is as if my fingers reach,
for the moonbeams to light my way to the night sky
filling my hand with shining stars
Spring strokes her self-portrait
upon the meadow canvas with rainbow paint
And I forget it was me
Who released my watercolor emotions
