Smoke and Mirrors
A storm is brewing in his heart
An unspoken secret behind his lips
He sees no light except the one
Shining in her eyes
And hears no melody as sweet
As the one her voice carries
But he feels something missing
Something unseen
Lost in the shadows
For no one to see
The sun could rise
And the moon could shine
It wouldn’t matter
Because this girl consumes his time
She became his world
His everything too
The moon and the stars
His good and his bad
But he notices one thing
It’s still missing
She’s stolen it swiftly
It must be his heart
Which has been recently missing
