The Life of the Obsever
The life of the observer is one of emptiness
The never ending life of nothing
The life of the observer is one without emotion
No fear no love no sorrow
Forever empty with no hope of seeing light
The life of the observer is not one you can turn away from
Not something you choose
One cursed to walk forever
The life of the observer is unaffected when it meets a momentary end
The life of the observer is long and tiresome
The life of the observer is hell on its own
With no hope of redemption

"The life of the observer is long and tiresome"
I like this line and how it concisely sums up the lines before and after.
I like irony and I feel the author uses irony in this one line, effectively providing the reader an anchor and guidance through the central theme of the poem.
I hear that even though an observer sits by and watches -- does not act--it is worse than being part of what can be very painful.
