It Matters
It matters that you’re scared.
Trapped in your own thoughts,
Spiraling downward until you can no longer feel.
It matters that you can’t remember
what happy feels like.
It matters that your smile has long faded off that
once perky – now solemn – face of yours.
It matters that you sleep your days away,
Wishing that you could stay that way forever.
It matters that you feel alone,
So alone that you feel cold, numb
And that’s the only thing you feel anymore.
It matters, and it will always matter.
“Forever and always. Don’t forget.”
