of Life
we fall in closer
as the orbit of the world takes us round, round,
and the sparkles of her nail polish
mirror the stars of the sky.
rushing traffic is
bright streaks of light
floating on the watery
surfaces of the earth
like rays of sunbeam cutting through the darkest of nights
and sky scrapers scape
the underbelly of the sky
dark giants against brightly
lit blue backgrounds
dainty houses, like
monopoly pieces
modestly residein the suburb, quiet and peaceful
like trees in a forest
slowly biding their time
and busy cities, with
people like ants
rushing and rushing and rushing
through anthills and
streets and roads
crowds of people
swaying like so many
waves at sea, flowing and rolling with
life and life and life
and life it is
these hurrying cars
and scurrying bugs
these flying planes
and soaring birds
we're all the same
no matter what we are
the same drive
the same energy
the core
of life.
