I believe that no matter who you are we all leave footprints on this Earth

Have you ever noticed,
The beauty of a sunrise from the east,
The way the moon is etched in its lonely canvas
That cloaks us in blackness-
In empty color, in desolation,
Or the wind that carries the colors from
Mother Nature’s paintbrush
Can you understand the innocent spark
In a child’s eyes,
Their heart?
Can you see into their soul?
The gateway is the open eye
But too often the gates are closed
Did you look at the quiet breath of snow
On a hill at midnight
When silence is the song that sings
And the diamonds in the pale dazzle display
Are like God’s words to us?
Were you watching,
When the stars were dancing like Gypsies
And the fiery leaves of fall finally fell?
Were your eyes asleep
When the edges of his lips turned up
As he woke up beside you, bliss
Or when the oceans crashed and their white foam
Soaked up the specks of sand
Can you look past the veil that obscures you
To see into the beauty that surrounds you,
The majesty that is what we see,
Completeness of one’s soul
In our perfect imperfect world?
Have you seen the sunrise for the first time,
Only when the sun had fallen?
Did you noticed the crying beacon in the night,
Only when the night was ending?
Have you gazed at the colors and smiled,
Only when that began to fade?
Have you opened your mind,
Only when your eyes were closing?
Have you seen life as it was meant to be seen,
Only when realization struck like lightning that
This is the end of it all
Is it our destiny to ignore brilliance
Only When time has run out?
I never opened my eyes to the world
Until My sight vanished
And I was left in the dark
The wonders gone,
But not forgotten
To be blind when I saw
And to see when I was blind
I never noticed
