Favorite Quote:
I believe that no matter who you are we all leave footprints on this Earth

You laugh and prod and jest
When I say I know I’m blessed
You mock and stutter and scoff
When I stand firm and won’t back off

It’s hard to understand sometimes
Unless you’ve seen it through my eyes
I’ve seen miracles, and tragedy
Which you ignore with apathy

I’ve seen good shine so bright
You’ve stayed in the dark, won’t enter the light
It’s not that I’m crazy or controlled
I can’t ignore what I behold

In the darkest of this earth
There is a beauty in every birth
We are a wonder truly great
I hope you don’t realize this too late

Ignore what you feel
Because your mind says it can’t be real
Look with both your mind and heart
For each decision can’t stand apart

Lots of lies get spread around
High and low they can be found
In the end only one is the right path
It’s true, so don’t give me your condescending wrath

I don’t go out of my way to say
What I learned in the pew that day
The priest spoke of love
A kind that is too pure to possibly think of

Maybe you just think you can do it
All alone, somehow you can prove it
But we have two hands to give
To help each other live

I want to help you, but sometimes I’m weak
He gives me reason to stand up and speak
I see religions branches of mine
Tell me I’m wrong, they say it all the time

I don’t pretend to be better than you
In your heart you know that’s not true
I only say that I follow him
Without, it’s like I can’t swim

People use the title and boast it about
Only when necessary, they aren’t devout
We are ignorant and think that we know
That we can chose which way to go

He is in every choice we make
He is watching out for our own sake
People think they become the earth in the end
Look at us, a miracle; we are much more my friend

So laugh when I say I’m proud to be
A follower of the faith, a pew attendee
You shake your head and joke
I wish you felt the fire
And not laughed at the smoke

I am religious and find it sad that people who aren't tend to get very cruel about what they don't understand
