I run
I run from others
From this situation
But mostly I run from myself
From the clamor in my restless head
I run from emotions
From feeling, from ‘what if?’
I run from my mental state
Leaving my body numb
My brain buzzing
Leaving judgment and torment
Leaving nasty looks and solid lies
More than blocking out
More than pushing away
More than saving until later
Not running because I’m scared
Running because I’m done with it
I run from myself
I run

this is great! sometimes when life gets bad and stuff, running away may be the only thing on your mind
