There's no point in fussin' over spilt milk, especially if it ain't spilt an' if it ain't milk.

All my troubles in the rearview mirror,
I know I know, They don't get smaller
as I drive away. They follow, but
they keep their distance.

I ran out of gas and they caught up
to me all in a matter of three years;
We've been traveling on this same road
with the same destination, nowhere.

My fuel light came on to warn me to
stop just as I was merging on the
highway of 16;
I put trust in my car of fear and insecurity
like I do with walls.

The sign on the side of the road screamed
in neon light, "Don't put your trust in walls;
'Cause walls will only crush you when they fall."

Life is cruel and permanently locked me
in this car; I'm stuck. I can't get out.
I have to keep driving this harrowing machine.

I've driven to hell and back, managing to
avoid burns on the already rusty exterior of my
white pick-up.

The miles on this car have 3,000,000 and counting.
My maintenance check only lasted six days.
Got my tires changed and my truck cleaned.

But now I'm back on the road,
Now with my troubles in the backseat.

I feel like this is one of the only honest things I have ever written.
I'm still in this harrowing machine, by the way. Apparently, I'm never going to get out.
