"Life is a journey not a destination..."
"Perhaps our eyes need to be washed by our tears once in a while, so that we can see life in a clearer view again."
"Only those who will go too far, can possibly find out how far one can go"

We all see you walk down town
Proud to be in uniform
We see you driving over that bridge
Ready to get on that job of yours
Then comes the time
The time to say goodbye
To me and our child
We dance and the others fill in around us
The music slowly hits the last note
And I don’t want to let you go
I let a tear slip down my cheek
As you slip away from my grip
How can you stand to watch?
Your daughter’s tears fall,
Her screams making her throat raw
You looked back with no expression
But you meant these words
Don’t you ever think I’m never comin’ home
Your lungs screamed these to me
As you walked onto that boat
Then you blew that kiss as you all were taken away
Then the wind screamed at me
I’m never comin’ home
Never comin’ home
Never comin’ home
I see it in my dreams
Your never comin’ home
Our daughter screams and pleads for you
The ghost of you haunts me
I remember that you told me
I would die in your arms
When I’m old I will die with you
Now I can’t
You told me it’ll be alright
If I fall, if I fall
Someone will catch me
It will be at the end of the world
I believed that
But no one caught you
And your smiles will haunt me

I wrote this just cause it came to me. I was listening to a song about leaving on a ship and since i live in a military area I thought of this.
