There's this echo in the air that's thick
and grey and glitters
in the wake
of pretty girls and
the not-so-silent stares
you sent after them.
The shots are called
and we aren't on the same
team
anymore
but there's a fluid air
to the way
our fingers slip and dance
into opposite corners
of the universe
so it doesn't seem
so
bad.
The drinks are smooth
the strawberries are clean
and the jewelry is loud and
silver.
