Fall in love or fall in hate; Get inspired or be depressed; Ace a test or flunk a class; Make babies or make art; Speak the truth or lie and cheat; Dance on tables or sit in the corner; Life is divine chaos. Embrace it. Breathe. And enjoy the ride...

Save me from the water or
Sail on by
Sleep under my arms or
Sing yourself a lullaby

Scare the bedbugs away or
Smack them till their gone
Snap a leaf into pieces or
Smash them till you've won

Stand around wasting time or
Step onto the field
Suck your gut in or
Swing it like a shield

Swear your telling the truth or
Succumb to the results
String together an army and
Strike like your all adults

But whatever you do my child, I will always be proud

I wanted to challege myself by starting off each line with an "S" verb
And I succeeded

Your last line doesn't start with and "S" verb! But yeah, I like this a lot too. I like the rhyming you used in here too, it's nice and smooth. Who are you talking to in this poem?
