Control the Femininity

The comfort of silk
And lingering dreams
Is the essence of me

The light from the world
Streaming through the drapery
As society’s earnest calling

The shift disguises
The skin underneath
Shadowing individuality

The lace encircled corset
Sheaths the sword of splendor
To constrain and mold what is seen

The lattice of cloth I stride into
Prickles on my waxed legs
To hide my feminine physique

The wrappings of fabric
That detains the image
Of the slightest visibility

The white residue
The overwhelms my face
Hides my complexity

Coal on my eyes
Seducing the man
That ignores the raging sea

Long lochs of amber
Pulled tight above the neck
Steals the bond to nature

My lips are cast in red
To pucker and move accordingly
And hold my biased speech

The slippers that sparkle
And blister the same
Leave the treads that men never see
