When death knocks
When death comes knocking at your door,
It is a scary thing,
normally you would run and hide,
but me.... I answered with a friendly hello
most people can understand loss
and most people understand Love
but I don’t maybe it is because everything i love i have lost
He comes in slowly
he turns to the bedroom
and says it is time
In the bedroom is my mother and father
he said they have lived a happy life
but... They can’t live longer
In the room he stands by my dad
he tells me to leave
and I hear him walk to the other side of the bed - my mothers side
He comes out and says he has set there souls free
He said they are even happier now
He said he is sorry you couldn’t have one last word with them
He slowly saunters away
and leaves me untouched
and grateful for my life
