My Glass Room
I'm all alone.
So alone.
My words reach no one
Echoing back to me from
The skies and mountains they've traveled from
I feel like a ghost.
The world would not change
If I wasn't here
My only refuge is my best friends,
But now they, too, want to
Leave me, forever.
Both of them.
Leave me, alone
In this world, filled with hatred and
Uncaring, all alone,
Without them, when I need them.
I don't want to be left behind
But I can't follow them,
Because again and again
I will always pick a life of lonliness
Over no life at all
So I am still alone,
Alone in my glass room
Thinking but not doing
Hearing but not listening
Talking but not being heard
Because I'm alone in this glass room
Very few have
Found the door to let themselves in
Nearly impossible I suppose
So help me
Save me
I'm trapped in my glass room
