Me and You
A black sheep in the crowd
A white rose in the red bunch
A girl who stands out from the others
I know I’m different but why fit in?
Why be an “everybody”?
When I can be a somebody.
You say “why are you so preppy?”
When I want to say “Why are you so depressing?” but I hold my tongue
But no more shall I take it
No more shall I fake it
I’ll keep being me and you keep being you
And we’ll see who wins in the end
I’ll wait for my one and only
And you wait for the first guy that comes along
So I’ll be me and you be you.
And we’ll see who wins in the end.
