"We all can't be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the sides and clap as they go by." "In the end, they're just more words."

It's no use
to lie to me.
I know you well enough
to see the truth in your eyes.
It's no use
to smile at me.
I know you well enough
to tell when you're in pain.
It's no use
to stick around.
I know you well enough
when you are no longer
interested.
So it's no use
to pretend,
to fake,
that you love me,
because you're only
hurting me more.

This poem's about how it's hurtful to fake your love or interest in someone. I wrote it because I know how it feels.
