I open my eyes, but see dark,
And find that I have missed the ball,
No fairy to come save the day,
Clock long struck, my shoe is still stuck,
No clue for the prince to come find me,
No happy ending will be waiting,
Dusting, mopping, forever more,
Evil sisters beating me door,
“Would you care for cinders, Ella?
For your future is nothing but that.”
