Spider in my bed
Dark recluse- hidden from the world
Ready to attack- to protect
Venom to stop the heart- the mind
Venom bittersweet- a new beginning
From the shadows
Webs for its prey
End a life- for itself
Use what it can- toss the rest aside
Needs to live- to survive
What about those- the spiders of our lives
Use, abuse what they want
Get what they can- kill it
Ignored and wounded
Helpless- lifeless
Used, abused- what’s the use?
