The Awkward Traveler
Alone, desperate
I need vices
Stealing, eating, surviving
This world
Very different
Always fighting
Always hiding
Stay I must
Cause there’s no way home
My home is full of bugs
Crawling in my head
Creating the only source of brain I have left
I write
Not knowing where it’s going
I’ve lost all sense of knowing
I crawl, I claw, I bite
Still no closer
Crazy is my comfort
My only friend
All others have left me
Trying to defend
Their world of streets and corners
But I write
Hoping you’ll find this
Some day trying
Trying not to blame
This, my last letter
I fear
My craziness has caught up
Walking down the street
Won’t know you
I’m a monster now
Slowly growing my claws
Don’t try to help
I’ll just bite
You see, what I cannot
Hope
That maybe, just maybe
Someday I might find you…
