Do you remember those summer nights when we used to drive slow.
You would have your arm around me and my hand out the window.
Now all thats left is that letter that I wrote-

I was 17 and I fell way to fast.
I don't know how you caught me, but now I sorta laugh.
It was the best night of my high school days.
I couldn't have wanted any more.
I said, " I hope this is what you mean when you say you love me"
still today that letter is on your dash board fading away.

That November, was the hardest month of my life.
Watching you leave me, and not wanting to say good bye.
You said it would be okay and I would move on,
But all I did was count down the days untill you came home.
But now all that's left is that dirty kleenex,
full of all the tears I cried,
and all my make-up.
I don't think you really understood it.
But still today that kleenex is on your dashboard fading away.

So there's a tear stained letter,
the on eyou never sent. You said it was gonna save my time,
and you wouldn't be appart of it.
I think that letter was the best thing you never did.
It was the night I said I loved you back,
and I really ment it.

So baby as I look in your eyes today.
You make me remember everything that faded away.
