Losing control
This friendship lasted quite a long time
But time was an enemy; we just couldn’t keep up.
I’ve lost control of our friendship; I dread the thought.
You are in a constant battle with every passing hour, and I’m lost without your support.
I’ve lost control.
We are drifting in different directions, but I’m going on.
I’ve heard this scenario before; it’s not a lie.
I am now a waterfall of emotions and questions.
And the puddle below me holds no answers.
I keep silent to keep the peace;
Or the piece we have left.
This relationship is hanging on a thread, and the candle is quickly burning.
When the candle flame is out, I will fall fast.
And I won’t stop.
But the scary thing is, you will be fine.
I am trying something new; I don’t want to lose you.
I don’t want to lose control.
