Never Ending Memories
I thought a memory
So still--so quiet
I felt a murmur
So low--so soft
I knelt beside the hearth
--tranquility--
Your reflection I saw
--in the fire.
Your strength much pronounced!
--Ha! Born on Eagles’ Wings
They say I do not listen--
I do not listen…
Well bred man!
Strong youth!
Handsome face!
I vowed to never part with it--
Heaven help me beyond
My years--long to be.
I thought a memory.
Screams. Oh! Pleasant screams
Outrageous laughs.
No melancholy…
Only love. Rainshowers of pure love.
The jealous of every boys‘ quest…
You’ve found me.--alone I am…
But there you go.
so here i‘ll stay…
A memory for years to be…
