A Simple Idea
Have you ever looked upon a star?
To find yourself away, so far
You sit so long
Lost in the song
Until you see
You’ve lost touch with reality
Moon is overhead
Completely gone, unread
Reaching out you feel a familiar face
An escape from this relaxing, soothing place
You turn it down
But do not emit a frown
For you feel
In a state of zeal
You stay a bit more
You want to see it soar
From a simple idea, to a sentence, then more
You finally finish
The feeling diminished
You read it aloud
You feel so proud
Then you store it away
Ready to read another day
You get out your pen
And start all over again
