I stare out my window,
Waiting and watching.
Then she comes,
Walking real slow.
She sees me and waves,
Tears in her eyes.
That’s when I know,
This is goodbye.
She's my Best Friend,
The only one I've got.
She's true to herself,
The best in the end.
She turns away and runs,
I scream at the glass.
But she won't look back,
Our moment has passed.

I look at the floor,
As the tears fall.
And I realize this is It,
I run for the door.
I catch up round the corner,
She tries tries to cover her eyes,
I hug her real hard,
Knowing she won't lie.
This is goodbye.
But over the ocean,
She sits at her window.
As do I.
It isn't the end,
She's still my Best Friend.
