Arms raised in a V for Victory,
Redeemed on top of a mountain,
The price of violence is stamped out in the dirt,
A fault runs through it, mistakes are lying face down
Collapsed on each other, bleeding from internal wounds,
Left to sink into the ground hidden under burlap sacks,
Arms held out, propped up by a thousand unwilling hands,
Palms caked with ruddy dust and fissured with sweat.
