Hazy summer sun glazes the window,
toasted skin and sun kissed freckles,
airy fabric and damp hair.
A memory glistens like a foggy pond,
the details swirl and disappear,
like fireflies burnt on a light.
The air, thick with humidity,
reduces my thoughts to whispers,
until only waves crash,
and silence dawns.
