Starboard Bow
Aboard the starboard bow
Underneath the dark navy sky
Throughout the eerie halls
In the fuel room my dear does lie.
Toward her I cannot go
Since she lay with such despicable fro
Around us at once our memories surround, a whirlwind, a ghastly cloud
Beside me my lost love will lay, forever, on that ground.
Above me the stars scream, like an animal after thy prowl
For now my love lays
My sacred beauty
Now here to forever stay.

My name is Amaris Ruiz, and this poem is inspired by a school project, a preposition poem. I recently have been reading more Edgar Allen Poe poems, so I decided to write a poem with a touch of sadness and despair, just as he does.
