Wallflower
I am there, but in the background
You see me, but my face fades,
Easily forgettable when you come around.
I speak and my words are shade,
There but gone sufficiently.
I think, but the thoughts are unvoiced.
I exist, but just efficiently.
Everyone else is vibrant, poised,
Colourful and full of personality.
I sit there, so disgustingly
Monotonous and boring to fatality,
Dull and unchangingly
Unimportant, that’s a finality.
My views are plain, unfailingly.
My opinions? Hah, a mortality.
I have no point here, unsurprising,
Whereas you and the others do
You are so spirited,
Yet I sit there soulless and blue.
Disgustingly limited.
Am I just a side character? What do
I contribute to the world, a glower?
Am I too…
A wallflower?
