Missing You
I miss the dinging of you tags on a cold metal bowl
I miss stepping on spilled water from your slobbery mouth
I miss seeing you sunbathe out in the yard
I miss the smile you gave when your belly was scratched
I miss the long nights I spent awake cause you wouldn’t stop snoring
I miss your stinky farts and your smelly bed
I miss you licking my shorts so others knew I was yours forever
I miss feeding you at the crack or dawn
I miss letting you out into the frigid morning frost
I miss your little gray sweater you would always wear
I miss the feeling that you would be there when I got home
I miss so many little things the things no one else notices
I miss just the feeling of you being here with me
I miss you forever more
My sweet baby girl
