and the way you speak
how your words
fly away like birds
to form nests
in my soul
you convince me
of things i do not believe
whispering into my dreams
until all i can see
is another reality
where all that matters
is you and me
i could lie with you forever
gentle rhythms echo through the room
i am consumed
in the moment
in you.
i often wonder if i made you up
but i can see you
smell you, and feel so
you must be real
you are the object of my desire,
the sole recipient of my affection
you are and forever will be,
my perfection.
