THE DEATHLY DEMISE

Dear death,

It rained like showers coming from the heavens,

Heavens built upon the bricks of grief and sorrow.

I ran to escort the crying skies,

Skies that were painted in mystic blue;

Blue, to mirror my colorless thoughts.

My presence healed the fallen leaves;

Leaves of continual autumn inside me.

While I danced to the symphony;

Symphony of the rain drops,

You played a soft music,

Music that ripped my scars into wounds.

I sing back to you every time,

Through mourns hidden in a smile.

Once in this eternal void,

I saw your reflection overlapping mine.

Moving slowly into the air,

You touch'd me like every night,

Night that makes the day appear the same

Having none to wake me up,

On the sunless winter dawn

Under the gloomy sheets

No matter where I lie,

You lie with me.

But I know you'd not embrace me yet,

Yet not so soon.

I long for you to take me away,

Because I am left with none to say.

I’m a 17 years old being whose poetry is muddled in misty stillness and whose words are like birds that loved to soar but their fluttering has long ago ebbed away. I, with my waning ocean of thoughts and melting intuition, speak through mere poems that reflect the lucidity and sagacity of my soul.
