Mokele-Mbembe
A monster lurks in the Congo, or at least the non-natives say,
For the natives this monster brings life to the flowers, fungus and trees,
This monster has scales and the form of a sauropod, there is only one to be founded,
It breaks the basin and gives new land, but the white devils deem it a killer,
It plants the trees and houses the monkeys, a killer it is not,
Giver of life and the protector of green, but the world will only feed one,
For the only true love of this cryptid has passed, and a village sunk with it too,
For this creature is a peaceful creature, a soldier of tribal Zinj,
Breaker of bones, destroyer of stones, yet it is no monster.

Inspired by the story of my favorite mythical creatures, the Mokele-Mbembe in the Congo.
