Are we human because we gaze at the stars or do we gaze at the stars because we are human?"

My mind is hidden

Somewhere dark

I can’t think straight

I'm falling,

A leaf from a tree

The only thing that

Worries me is that

It’s spring

The tree should be

Looking alive,

All leafs attached

Saying “Hello” to the

Strangers that pass.

But then I remember

I'm not the tree

I'm the leaf

I don’t survive the winter

I don’t survive the

Hard times so I,

I die off.

This was one of the first poems that I wrote that really made me believe that I could be good at poetry and made me realize that I like to write.

That was a depressing ending, but I understand kind of what you mean in this poem. Most days, I feel like I will die off, and just be gone. But then I force myself up, out of bed, and drag myself through the day, and go to bed feeling even worse than I had before.
