I’m dying,
At your side,
As you say,
Your final goodbye.
You held me up,
You ignited the spark,
That lit my fire.
No!
Don’t leave me,
I need you.
Your heartbeat,
Starts to fade,
Now I know,
That you must go,
But I love you so.

The author's comments:

This is based on the death of my papa, grandpa, and best four legged friend, Whinston but mostly my grandma who's losing her memory to alzheimer's. Basically what I'm trying to say is that when you know someone you love is dying, you feel empty, like the world won't go on but in the end you know that your love will remain. Please comment!

Whinston, well I watched and I still feel guilty, like there could've been more I done

The universe must be a teenage girl. So much darkness, so many stars.

I'm so sorry to hear about that...I was not present at the deaths of my Grandma and Grandpa, I just heard about it over the phone. And I'm afraid someone special will suddenly be taken from me when I am least expecting it, when I think tragedy cannot touch me.
