Golden Gates
I never knew brown eyes could be so stunning until I saw yours.
The sparkle in them hit me like a firework in the dark sky.
I felt like I was floating the moment my green eyes fell upon your brown eyes.
Green, in this moment, was an overruled and outdated color.
Brown was the most enticing and radiant color I had ever seen.
The little pools of honey were as rare as buried treasure, but far more valuable.
Bronze eyes, but worth a golden medal.
Umber, chestnut, chocolate, mahogany, whatever shade that day I am captivated.
I never knew brown eyes could capture hearts until mine was prisoner.
The bars are brassbound, at no time will I be able to break free.
How could a simple pair of brown eyes answer some of life’s hardest questions?
Because those simple brown eyes are the eyes I fell in love with.
