Original Poems
Millie
Your smile lights up any room,
Your happiness overflows into others,
Your wagging tail is often the highlight of my day.
Your presence is a joy that no one else can ever bring,
Your being brings happiness to anyone that encounters you
Your love is bigger than any mountain and more vast than any ocean
Your preciousness makes any person’s heart melt into a billion different pieces
My love for you will always be never ending, you have changed more lives than you know
Parents
You told me you would be there,
You were, and still are.
You said you would love us unconditionally,
You did, and still do.
You made a promise to each other and to us,
You kept it.
You made a vow, for better and for worse, for yourselves, and for us,
We’re forever grateful.
You supplied food to our hungry stomachs, and clothes to our naked backs,
For this, we’re forever grateful.
You gave knowledge to our yearning minds, and moral to our precious hearts,
For this, we’re forever grateful.
You gave us confidence even on our best days, yet ambition when it dwindled,
For this, we’re forever grateful.
And even on our worst days, you gave us hope hope for a brigther morning.
For this, we’re forever thankful.
Religion
My eyes unseal, reachinging over to stop the noise I know too well.
For it is time I awake for the day ahead.
My eyes are rubbed and my body is stretched,
I scrounge for strength as I push myself up out of my bed.
Sitting in a place that never gets old, my head loses, and I bow.
Thank you for watching me over night,
Today I offer my every thought word and action
For it is in your name that I pray, amen.
Daydream.
Every afternoon,
Connecting to those who may not be here anymore, for my love always is.
Again, time appears to soar with momentum.
Dusk nears, and my fatigued body hits the pillows.
I lie in bed, my eyes close as if weights are attached to them.
Now I lay me,
Down to sleep,
I pray the Lord,
My soul to keep,
If I should die,
Before I wake,
I pray the Lord,
My soul to take.
Millie Dog
Mom walked out the door,
Dad did too.
Mark walked out the door,
Mike did too.
I wonder where they go
But i'll never know
I hope the day goes by fast
My patient almost never lasts
I wish they all would stay home,
I am not even fully grown.
I mean at the end of the day I’m still a clumsy puppy

I used the four things that I love the most in my life to write these poems.
