Pick me
If I were a flower in a garden
How long would it take for you to pick me?
Would you take your time to stop and smell the roses
Or just come directly set me free?
Others would be viewed as pretty
Perhaps the best too
Would you give me a try?
I’ll show you that I am perfect for you
My petals might be a little bit torn
I might be too frail
I can hurt like a thorn
Just use your manners then our love won’t fail
I have been through so much
My leaves may be rough
But if you test out my roots
You can see I am tough
I’ll provide you comfort
Allow you to thrive
When the sun shines
I’ll show you how I strive
Roses are red
Sometimes I get blue
But not with you
With us as two
If by the time you choose
The sun has set
I hope you can still see
I’m the one you won’t regret
