Words empty as the wind are best left unsaid. -Homer

Crisp, Cold morning air.

Creatively carved pumpkins,

Lining the cocoa- colored porch.

Crackled and crumbly;

Colorful leaves cascade tumbling.

Collecting in a piled cluster.

Crunchy candied apples glisten.

Their caramel covered sisters chewy.

Cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom,

Scents carry as they cook.

Coppery crimson fire crackles,

Roasting a cushiony confectionary puff.

Creamy white turns charred brown.

Scarecrows creeping and harvesting corn.

Autumn has come.

This poem was inspired by the certain energy and atmosphere that can only be found in the mere three months of fall.
