The Grass is Always Greener on the Other Side
The grass is always greener on the other side
The paved road is always smoother as we are on the ride.
The time we wish for freedom is when our ankles and wrists are chained
And we so long for containment after losing our feral brain.
We crave to repeat history when our regrets can no longer last
And we wish to see our future as answers to questions unasked.
We so long for what we’ve lost and we lack the things we crave,
But when the grass is dull and colorless that is your time to be brave.
Life is a road of happiness
Of lies, cheats, tricks, and smiles
So stretch your soul and free your mind
Let it roam for miles
