The Shade Of Night
Every rainy night she goes outside
you see her standing barefoot on the wet grass
the cold breeze hitting her body gently
but she doesn't care, she enjoys it.
The air blowing her hair as it rushes past her,
but you only see her in the rainy nights.
And some people say it's because she cries,
No one knows who she is
all they know is she's lost in a shade of night.
Everyone waits until night to see her,
to see the beautiful shape standing in their yards.
Even thought they know she's lost,
they still wait for the rainy nights to come.
The shade of the night they call her,
that's how she's known
well nobody really knows her but they know she'll forever be lost.
