World Full of Hate
In a world full of hate,
it makes our fate.
That's saddening
and maddening.
Cloaked in darkness
from bearing witness.
Unable to stray
without falling prey.
Would a clear picture
help feeling secure?
Could fates be changed,
leaving less pained,
or persons left unsure
of the blinding obscure?
Will it ever end in happiness,
or is the cause hopeless
in this world full of hate?

This was inspired by the recent mass shooting in Orlando, which proceeded many others. In just 2016, there have been over one hundreded mass shootings. These tragic events leave people feeling upset, and by the time someone has recovered from one, there is another. It also creates a sense of uneaseness in everyday lives, knowing that someone could walk in and open fire in many places. The goal of this poems is to relate these words to common thoughts and feelings in reference to these events.
