Peas in a Pod
Once upon a time
On a great day in June
Two little bundles
Came out of the womb
They cried a lot
Their parents cried too
The bond began then
And from this story through
When they could speak,
They talked forever.
Their stories didn’t end,
For they thought they were clever.
The world became smaller
And their love grew
For no one was closer
Than the sisters two.
Then one day came,
When they gained another,
A little boy came,
An itty little brother.
He joined the two,
And they became three.
Three peas in a pod,
They grew to be.
The twins loved on,
I know that it’s true,
For one of them is me
And the other is you.
One day we’ll grow old
All wrinkly and cute
And at my side
Will be only you
We’ll argue a lot
We’ll laugh a lot too
I was born with my best friend
And that best friend is you.
