Monster
A man woke up in the middle of the night
Feeling an oncoming war
With a chill running up his spine
He quickly stormed out the door
The midnight sky was hazy
Full of hate and rage, he ripped the petals off a daisy
These were emotions he could not cage
He looks in the mirror
Who is that he sees
He looks in the mirror
Wondering what he could be
Be grabbed the nearest knife
And calmly tip-toed back inside
Without even thinking twice
He silently ended her life
He looks in the mirror
Who is that he sees
He looks in the mirror
Wondering what he could be
He woke up the next morning next to his wedding band
And reached up to his face
In front of his eyes was his blood-stained hand
These were steps he could not retrace
He looks in the mirror
Who is that he sees
He looks in the mirror
Wondering what kind of monster he could be
