Living in Fear
I’m living in fear
Knowing you’re near
Watching you walk
And hearing you talk
I see you at night
And you give me a fright
That jolts me awake
And leaves pain in its wake
I see you’re lies
For they drown your dark eyes
And I see your face
For it makes my heart race
I hear your name
But it’s all just a game
And you will forever remain
Just the same
I’m living in pain
And feeling the rain
For when I see you again
I’ll have to pretend
That you’re my very best friend
And when your words come
I know they’ll weigh a ton
And so I live in the fear
That always brings a tear
For I will forever be sad
To call you my dad.
