Way Away
All the way across town is where you lay your head at night,
I look up at the stars and I hold on to your picture tight.
Wishing I could see you, feel your arms holding me,
But it looks like tonight, baby it's just a dream.
Now we are together and we're flirting like we always do,
little do you know, that baby you're my dream come true.
Someday when we grow up, we'll both say the words "I do".
You'll be prince charming and slip on my glass shoe.
We'll join our hearts as one and we'll make a great team,
but it looks like tonight, baby it's just a dream.
You got on one knee and said some sweet things,
I cried a happy tear and you slipped on my ring.
Now that we're married I don't have to miss you way away,
Each night the sun goes down, I know that you're here to stay,
We can lay down together and look at the stars that shine,
my goodness it's so great to know, that baby you are mine.
I'm glad that I can see you and feel you holding me,
And it looks like tonight, baby I don't have to dream.
