Dancing dreams
She wanted to be a dancer,
It was her dream.
But this girl had cancer.
It wasn't to be.
Every day she grew weaker.
She couldn't stand.
But her heart grew bigger,
An she said "I can"
She touched many lives,
A dozen or two,
As she tried and tried,
Again, to move.
Then one day on a whim of fate,
She stood up.
She held her own weight.
It was enough.
Then the day before it was supposed to end,
She got a chance,
Yet again,
To dance.
Her friend came in to save to day.
He held her high,
He held all her weight,
She Started to cry.
Tears of joy rolled down her face,
For when he held her,
She could dance with grace.
She felt cured.
But then God Gage her wings.
Now up in the sky,
Among other things,
She can fly.
