Blind Love
The world teaching a girl with sunflowers in her smile,
that love is a cruel thing but we need it to survive.
Dancing in his shadow, she is in denial.
Because all she wants is for this love to last awhile.
But soon she will learn, his love has kept her blind.
The anxiety in her stomach is mistaken for butterflies.
A mediocre ordinary love is not worth her time.
She wanted to know what it felt like to be truly alive.
She was tired of giving it to the one who was not giving in return,
So she stopped putting effort into the one who stopped putting effort in for her.
More than anything, she wanted someone to adore her as she was,
Including her flaws.
And so she chose herself instead.
